Hofstra Students Cover Tonight’s Debate
Two interesting local perspectives on tonight’s debate, both from Hofstra students: Hofstra Debate, a collection of miscellany about debate preparations and behind-the-scenes minutiae; and Hofstra 2012 Debate - International POV, a similar but separate distillation of topics for/from viewers overseas.
This is rad!
TUMBLR LIVE-GIFS THE DEBATE: NOW ON LIVESTREAM
If our live-GIF coverage of tonight’s presidential debate isn’t enough for you, and you’re not afraid of getting incepted by an infinite meta-blog video loop, then rejoice! The frantic GIF-wizardry originating from Tumblr HQ and appearing in “real” “time” on Gifwich will itself be captured and broadcast via Livestream! Not sure what the next level is after that but I’m sure we’ll hear about it from someone — from the future.
I am now watching the debate on TV, the live stream of our GIF-fest on Livestream, the GIFs themselves on GIFwich.tumblr.com, The Guardian’s commentary on election.tumblr.com, and trying to follow twitter etc also. What is that, 5 screens? I’m already exhausted.
wnyc:
KPCC and WNYC debate over which city has the best summer: Los Angeles or New York City. Check out the smackdown between Brian Lehrer and his LA counterpart Patt Morrison. Go Brian! Go NYC!
I happened to hear this debate live and found myself torn, as usual, between my spiritual/birth home and my adopted one.
But let’s be honest people: while the idea of NYC in the summer is spectacular, the reality of heat/humidity make it generally miserable.
We are just taking part in the political conversations on Tumblr by following various blogs.
My political blog, which makes no secret about being very liberal, is being followed by The Heritage Foundation, an organization which is open about being very conservative.
political dialogue in action on Tumblr - love it!
