In a world without gas, what would we do with the gas pumps?
In a promotion associated with car maker Nissan’s Australian launch of the all-electric LEAF vehicles, Australian artist James Dive responds by turning 40 petrol bowsers (pumps) into pieces of interactive art.
Among the more practical new functions for the bowsers: dog kennel, amplifier-speaker, bookcase, coffee maker-dispenser, doll house, grandfather clock, and fireplace, to name a few. Whimsical reinventions include uses as bubble-blowing and popcorn machines. (Okay, maybe the latter are practical uses for many of you!)

An odd whimsical kind of science fiction - or at least wishful thinking.
