Thanks to my mom for reminding me of how much I love these Manhattan Mini Storage billboards, and how they capture some very true and not always very comfortable realities about my beloved hometown.
So what if I’m a little late to the party on this one…what a beautiful illustration of the insanity of modern car culture.
The best pro-solar billboard ever (upstate NY, 2010). Some of the rejected slogans are also pretty great:
- The irony of the coal-powered billboard is not lost on us.
- Solar: It’s actually a $30 billion global industry. Please do not tell the hippies.
- Solar is 99.9% reliable in New York. You’re thinking of the moon-power panels. Those are useless.
- What about the huge, free nuclear power plant in the sky? What if we just used that?
